Anís y Papelón! This sweet combination was inspired by one of our fave childhood pastries: the Venezuelan golfeado. Similar to a cinammon roll, the golfeado is flavored with sweet anise (also known as fennel seeds) and papelón or panela, which is raw cane sugar. The raw sugar is earthy and the sweet anise has a slight licorice edge.
